Security

Vertical Tabs is designed around local execution. The desktop app runs shells and agents on your machine, while the website handles accounts, purchases, docs, and license access.

Local execution

Vertical Tabs does not require uploading your repository to the website. CLI agents run as local terminal processes and use the credentials you configure for those tools.

Website auth

Website accounts use Better Auth with email verification, password reset, session tracking, audit logs, rate limits, and optional Google sign-in when the provider credentials are configured.

Production database

Production data is stored in Postgres and accessed from Cloudflare Workers through Hyperdrive. Database migrations are generated with Drizzle and applied through the protected project workflow.
