Account Sign-In
How Tintage account sign-in works in Vertical Tabs.
Account sign-in
Section titled “Account sign-in”Vertical Tabs uses your Tintage account for Pro and Team features. Sign-in is optional.
Open Settings > Account, then click Sign in with Tintage. Vertical Tabs shows a 6-digit code and opens the Tintage account site in your browser.
Device code flow
Section titled “Device code flow”- Vertical Tabs requests a device code from the Tintage account site.
- Your browser opens the account device page.
- Enter the 6-digit code shown in Vertical Tabs.
- After approval, Vertical Tabs saves an encrypted local token and shows your account in Settings.
The local development account site is http://localhost:4000. Production sign-in uses the Tintage account provider.
Managing your account
Section titled “Managing your account”When signed in, Settings > Account shows your Tintage profile and links to account management. Sign out from the same panel.
Signing out revokes the current device token when possible and removes the encrypted local auth file from this device.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”“The code has expired”
Section titled ““The code has expired””Device codes expire after a short time. Click Sign in with Tintage again to request a new code.
“Network error”
Section titled ““Network error””Vertical Tabs could not reach the Tintage account site. Check your connection, then try again.
Wrong account opened
Section titled “Wrong account opened”Sign out in your browser, then start the Vertical Tabs sign-in flow again and approve the code with the intended Tintage account.
